B | Consideration and Adoption of Resolution No. 2023-15: A resolution approving the First Amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Northern Arizona Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (Mountain Line) and the City of Flagstaff for the Downtown Connection Center (DCC).
City Attorney Sterling Solomon addressed Council stating that in June last year Council approved an Intergovernmental Agreement with Mountain Line for the construction of the
Downtown Connection Center on Phoenix Avenue. The funding for the project is in part from the Federal Transit Administration. When they reviewed the agreement they requested a couple of minor amendments to indicate that the Rio de Flag project would not interfere with the Downtown Connection Center and vice versa. He has worked with legal counsel from Mountain Line and there is mutual agreement that the amendments are needed. Vice Mayor Aslan expressed excitement to see the project continue to move forward. He noted concern about the level of snow and ice on the north side of the site and hopes that a solution to that is in the works in the general planning of the project. |
