Ms. Bloom introduced Ms. Jenny Niemann, Climate Program Manager, and Ms. Tiffany Antol, Senior Planner, who provided a verbal presentation on the Amendment to the Residential Sustainable Building Incentive. Ms. Niemann congratulated the Commission on the 10-Year Housing Plan and all the work that went into writing it. Commissioners had a thorough discussion about the Residential Sustainable Building Incentive, expressed concerns, asked questions, and provided comments related to building requirements, initial costs of electrification, costs and benefits to developers, the impact to housing affordability, Council priorities, goals of the incentives, and collaboration between Housing and Sustainability. Ms. Niemann and Ms. Antol answered questions with support from Ms. Darr. |
