Executive Summary: |
The liquor license process begins at the State level and applications are then forwarded to the respective municipality for posting of the property and holding a public hearing, after which the Council recommendation is forwarded back to the State. The applicant, DOS Dyers LLC, purchased Southside Tavern and the liquor license from Craig Bouchard in November 2023 and is requesting an owner transfer for a Series 06 (bar) license.
A Series 06 license allows a bar retailer to sell and serve spirituous liquors, primarily by individual portions, to be consumed on the premises and in the original container for consumption on or off the premises. Series 06 (bar- all spirituous liquor) licenses are obtained through the person and/or location transfer of an existing license from another business. This transfer is from Craig Bouchard. Southside Tavern is an existing business in Flagstaff, AZ and is currently operating under an interim license. If approved, this license will be one of the 23 active series 06 licenses.
