TITLE:
Consideration and Adoption of Resolution No. 2023-33:
A resolution of the Flagstaff City Council, approving the Intergovernmental Agreement between Coconino County, the Superior Court of Coconino County, and the City of Flagstaff for Courthouse Court Security Services.

Executive Summary:
The purpose of this Agreement is to establish a partnership between the Superior Court of Coconino County and the Flagstaff Municipal Court, with the goal being for the Superior Court of Coconino County to provide security services to the Flagstaff Municipal Court through court security officers to ensure the safety of all individuals in the Flagstaff Municipal Court. Partnering allows for more efficient and effective use of resources and provides opportunities to collaborate to provide consistent, unified and professional court security in the Superior Court of Coconino County and the Flagstaff Municipal Court.
Financial Impact:
The Flagstaff Municipal Court has been allocated the budget to support two Court Security Officer positions and one-time funding for the past three fiscal years for additional On-Call Court Security Officer Services within the General Fund in account
001-01-016-0063-1-4290. The total FY2023-24 budget for this IGA is $206,099.

Court Security Officer positions are critical to maintain the safety and security of the courthouse facility.
