Recommendation to the Flagstaff City Council for a city ordinance regarding equitable restroom availability - Introduction from Chris Rhode, the City’s Civil Rights and LGBTQA+ Liaison, including an introduction of the Municipal Equality Index for the Human Rights Campaign. Decide if this effort meets the Commission's equitable restroom recommendation or if these efforts should remain separate.

B.   Discussion of the Town Hall Alternate Response Model and Care Center
 
 
Discuss the Town Hall meeting from 9/24 and any recommended follow up items.  The staff liaison sent out the presentation and recording of the Town Hall on 9/27.

Land Acknowledgment and Involvement with the Renaming of the Peaks and Snowbowl expansion plans
 
 
  • Discuss any updates from the Workgroup.
  • Discuss the conversation with the Indigenous Commission on October 14th. 
  • Decide what the next steps are and what to do with the Land Acknowledgment Recommendation.that was approved during the CODA  September Regular Meeting 
  • Recommendation for letter of support for the Land Acknowledgment proposed by the Indigenous Commission
  • Proposed thank you letter to the Native American Club for their presentation 
 
D.   Proclamations Work Group Update 
 
 
  • Discuss any upcoming Proclamations for the Work Group to focus on. 
  • Native American Heritage Month - is scheduled to be read at the November 2nd City
    Council meeting.
