Executive Summary: | |||||
On January 26, 2021, City Council provided program direction to the Comprehensive and Neighborhood Planning Program which includes the Heritage Preservation program and the Zoning Code Program. This review is done annually in order to ensure that the work in these programs is aligned with Council direction and expectations. Council made one adjustment to the presented priorities and asked that an update to the 10-30.30 Cultural Resources portion of the Zoning Code and related topics be moved up from a Priority Tier C to Priority Tier B. Financial Impact: | |||||
Staff does not have any allocated funding for an update of the Cultural Resources portion of the Zoning Code in the FY 2021 budget. Budget requests for Zoning Code amendments are made through the Zoning Code Manager. The budget of the work would primarily be staff time and notifications unless a consultant is also requested in order to assist with overlays. | |||||
Policy Impact: | |||||
Moving up the 10-30.30 Cultural Resource in priority means that staff may begin working on this project in 2022 when capacity in the work program opens up due to completion of priorities from Tier 1.
