A. | Land Acknowledgment The following has been determined as the last version of the Land Acknowledge which the Commission has worked on at the July 31, 2021 Retreat. The Commission will need to give direction on how to proceed from here. Consideration on having the acknowledgement ready for next steps to reach City Council and City Manager. The Flagstaff City Council humbly acknowledges the ancestral homelands of the Indigenous Nations which are occupied and known as Flagstaff since 1928. The city sits at the base of the Sacred Mountain where the originals stewards inhabited these areas. We honor them, their continued contributions, legacies, their traditions, and their past, current, and future generations who will forever call this place home. |

A. | Alternative Response Model Commissioner Yellowhair and staff liaison Rose Toehe will lead the discussion on Commissioner Yellowhair's suggestion on the possibility of creating an advisory board to assist with the creation of this plan and possible further development of a detox center. A thorough discussion will help to see an overall picture as to what may be needed. |
