Babbitt House Update

Phase 2 CRS HABS format with imposed conditions required was approved in January 2021.
During site visit, HPO inspected the home and basement in particular to determine feasibility of moving whole or partial. Home additions are now integral in basement and other floors. Home can be moved but limited distance disassembly not entirely feasible. Practicality of places to move home  or a private investor with land has not been found.
HPO will have to closely monitor home when salvage is taking place and work with developer on items to be salvaged and the tracking of salvage to appropriate use. Additional communication is necessary to protect intact historic fabric resources.
